Okay, there’s more to life than real estate (sometimes). Its time to write about other things that interest me – to get a bit more personal.
Things have been busy this past little while. After staging and lots of clearing out, my own house went on the market last week. Luckily it sold in just 5 days. It was a great experience to remind me of what my clients go through – the stress, living out of boxes, keeping the house neat 24/7 ‘just in case’ there’s a showing. I’m happy to now be able to put my focus back on my clients.
On a lighter note: 2 more days until the Mississauga 1/2 marathon. Its been 14 years since my last 1/2 and its taken more preparation. I am looking forward to a great day…… followed by a bit of work. If you happen to see me hobbling at Sunday’s open house, you’ll know why. Of course, once its over, I wonder what adventure I’ll get myself into next………
Well until next time, enjoy a wonderful weekend and have a great mothers day on Sunday!!
May 12, 2008 – After the 1/2 – Yesterday was a great day to run the Mississauga 1/2. Thousands of us lined up at Square One by the 401, and the course was quite fast, heading all the way to the waterfront and past Port Credit to the finish. A little chilly by the water, but lots of food helped to warm us up. Spectators chearing helped to motivate and it was only the last kilometer that was a little painful.
Today I’m still hobbling a bit. Funny how the long training runs were a piece of cake. I thought I’d be glad to see long run Sundays disappear, however, I’ve managed to find yet another 1/2 in 3 weeks in my hometown of Blenheim. Needless to say, I’ve signed up for more fun. I’m sure I’ll have recovered by then!!
July 22, 2008
Well, lots has been going on since the last post. I survived the Blenheim ‘Trot to the Beach, The Long Way’ 1/2 marathon and surprisingly finished with a better time. Not only that (I shamelessly promote my accomplishments), I happened to win my age group (I need not get into exact numbers)!
I am now just running for fun and enjoying the outdoors. I’ve got great stairs and trails by my house, so that allows me to mix it up a bit.
Work is going well, and as you can see on the Real Estate Blog, the Toronto market is still strong.
Until next time……
